Spellbinders Wax Seal of Month January 2025

Hello Friends!

Welcome and Happy New Year! I am so excited to share January’s wax seal of the month for Spellbinders, a beautiful oval rose!

Starting with this month’s wax seal, Spellbinders has decided to change things up a bit. Instead of providing wax beads every month they will try and offer various coordinating items, how cool is that!

For this month’s coordinating item, Sealed Storage Box! Great for organizing your wax stamps, beads and wax stamp handles.

Just a quick recap, For January Wax Seal Of the Month Club you will receive a wax stamp and a sealed storage box.

Let’s jump into today’s project!

I started by using a coral shimmer cardstock and blind letter pressed the A Friend Like You Bouquet press plate to create a soft elegant look. I hand tore the paper to add to the elegance.

I then hot foiled the Thanks press plate also included in the press plate set using copper foil on vellum. I added some double sided adhesive to the back of the vellum using a sheet of adhesive instead of a tape roll to get full coverage and hide the adhesive. I then hand tore the vellum to match the main panel.

Using 1/2 inch double sided adhesive I adhered the coral panel to an A2 side folding card base, using Spellbinders Brushed Black Metallic Cardstock.

To create my seal I used some white pearl wax I had in my stash using a nifty little wax warmer tool to melt my wax. (link down below)

While my wax was melting I prepped my copper gilding flakes to add into my wax once I poured it.

Note: It is so important to use some tweezers and tear your gilding flakes if you plan to use smaller pieces, the wax cools quick and if you aren’t ready with your flakes it will harden before you can press your seal. Ask me how I know…hahaha

I wanted to add another flake, but after my first attempt I decided to just add my two pieces and pressed my seal.

Note: I adhered down my sentiment with adhesive, but do know if you want to keep your sentiment free and only adhered using the wax seal, you can. The wax seal will adhere to your paper.

I just love how this turned out! So simple and would be a great thank you idea for weddings or baby showers, you can just change up the colors to suite the party colors.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and it inspires you to grab some wax and seals and start creating. And if wax sealing is new for you, joining the Wax Seal of The Month Club is a great way to get started and build up your stash.

I appreciate you being here, thanks so much for stopping by.
